On Tuesday 30th July the Hallam Intermediate Boys AFL Academy took on Cheltenham at Highett Reserve. The boys were challenged before the game to show more aggression towards the ball and the man when not in possession. By quarter time they had laid to rest any question marks hanging over their heads that they didn’t like to put their heads over the ball and enforce body contact.
Hallam dominated the game from start to finish running out comfortable winners 19.11.125 to Cheltenham 6.4.40.
Bailey Rice enjoyed being moved from the half back line into the forward line kicking 10 goals. Other players that impressed on the day were James Paligorov, Jarryd Trait, Caleb Millman and Kasey Mobourne. Hallam’s co-captain Tom Glen also played an eye-catching game at centre half forward.
