Parent Forum “Drugs and Alcohol – What every parent needs to know”

The Student Wellbeing Team would like to invite interested members of our school community to attend the next Parent Forum ,“Drugs and Alcohol – What every parent needs to know”, to be held on 26/10/15 at 6:30 pm in our Pathways Hub.
The aim of this forum will be to support parents/ caregivers who are worried about the drug situation in society, or that their children may be using drugs.
Our guest presenters for the evening are Joey Herrech and Andrew Holt from Youth Support Advocacy Service in Dandenong. Joey and Andrew both have wide ranging experience working with young people who are experiencing difficulties in their lives due to drug use. They will talk about what drugs are on the streets, what parents need to look for if they suspect their child is using drugs and suggest strategies to support young people and their families.
Our last forum provided opportunity for those who participated to talk freely and share their experiences. I hope that you will join us for this opportunity to share concerns and learn about this issue.
A light supper is provided
