Former student Nathan Wright plays first game for St.Kilda
Nathan joins a growing list of past students who have gone on to play in the AFL.
Against GWS at Manuka Oval in Round 3 of the 2013 AFL season, Nathan managed 22 disposals, 2 makes and 3 tackles and received some positive reviews on the club's website:
From the St.Kilda Football Club Website:
"Nathan provided a breath of fresh air to the St Kilda team. His direct and uncompromised attack on the footy from a back flank evokes memories of former Kangaroo, and fellow number 34 David King, and his composure and level head when in possession is reminiscent of Nick Dal Santo. The 19-year-old has a body that is seemingly ready-made for AFL football, and his 22-possession performance in Canberra shapes as the start of a promising career".
Nathan joins another former Sports Academy student, Arryn Sippos at St.Kilda.
The Sports Academy program, which also produced draftees Ryan Bastinac, Piva Wright, Tom Gillies and Shane Savage, provides budding footballers with the opportunity to learn about their sporting trade without abandoning the regular curriculum.
