Hallam Senior College has become one of the most successful schools in the Herald Sun Shield Division 1 Girls competition after defeating reigning premiers Ballarat Grammar in the 2018 Grand Final on Wednesday.
Played at Geelong’s GMHBA Stadium, Hallam shot out of the blocks early, piling on four goals to one in the opening half to establish an early lead at the main break.
Despite hitting the scoreboard and restricting Hallam to no score in the final half, Ballarat was unable to claim its third straight Herald Sun Shield title, going down by 14-points.
Hallam’s Emily Browning was judged Best on Ground for the premiers, while Brook Thompson secured top honours for Ballarat Grammar.
