Hallam played the Semi-final of Premier League at Victoria Park against Bendigo SSC. Final scores were:

Hallam 11.7.73 defeated Bendigo 9.7.61

Goals: Soroczynski 3, Toussaint 2, Bastinac 2, Sigeti 2, Battle 1, Joyce 1

Best: Jack Soroczynski, Jordan Bastinac, Nick Battle, Adam Butler, Taylor Joyce, Tristan D’Sylva

The first half saw Bendigo dominate general play and Hallam were reluctant to be accountable for their man and were burnt on transition. Unfortunately we lost Mitchell Dyer to a behind the play incident during the second quarter which required him to be taken to hospital after the game.

Down by 26 points at half time, the Hallam boys were asked for more effort and with a re-jigged forward line structure momentum quickly shifted in the 3rd quarter.

Hallam were able to hold on in the last quarter for a memorable come from behind win that everyone involved was so proud of.

Our captain Jack Soroczynski was easily our best and most influential player over the 4 quarters and was a deserved winner of the Best on Ground Medal.

Hallam now progress to the Premier League Grand Final to be played on the MCG on Sunday 21st July as the curtain raiser to the Richmond vs. Fremantle AFL game. Hallam will play Essendon-Keilor, beat Box Hill by 7 points in the other Semi-Final.
