COVIC Update – Stage 4 Restrictions

The Victorian Government has announced that, on the advice of the Victorian Chief Health Officer, regional and rural Victoria will move to Stage 3 restrictions and metropolitan Melbourne will move to Stage 4 restrictions to slow the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).

Face Coverings Required

Face Coverings Required

In line with advice from the Victorian Chief Health Officer, the Victorian Government has announced that those in metropolitan Melbourne and Mitchell Shire must wear a face covering when they leave home from 11.59pm on Wednesday 22 July 2020.
This means that school-based staff, secondary school students and any visitors to schools in metropolitan Melbourne and Mitchell Shire will be required to wear a face covering. The Victorian Chief Health Officer has advised that any face covering will be acceptable – it does not need to be a surgical mask.

The Minister for Education has announced that, on the advice of the Victorian Chief Health Officer, all Victorian government schools will transition to remote and flexible learning arrangements during Term 2 of 2020. This means that from the start of term two all students who can learn from home must learn at home.
