We are very pleased and proud that seven of our students have received Scholarships funded by the Master Builders Foundation Victoria. The Master Builders Victoria are incorporated under the Australian Master Builders Association Australia and are the representative body for construction representatives from a one person operation to a Multi-National Construction Company.
This scholarship is for present and future training and also includes a significant Metabo equipment pack. The scholarship conditions require the student to attend professional training that will support their future role within the Building and Construction Industry. Once this is completed a presentation of the tool pack will take place and the balance of the training fund can be used to support further training e.g. TAFE, First Aid, Explosive powered tool etc.
The seven successful students attended Go Workplace Training at Hallam for a full day and undertook the EWPA Yellow Card Training. This stands for Elevated Work Platforms and they were specifically trained in the safe use and operation of a Scissor Lift and Boom Lift to 11meters. Both of these operations are highly skilled and will provide the students that additional edge for future employment opportunities.
The students were presented with their tool packs on Friday 29th July by Jarrod Flanigan from the Master Builders Foundation.
Congratulations to Brandon, Steffanie, Alec, Justin, Lolesio, James and Matthew.
Thank you to Jarrod and the Masters Builders Foundation for supporting our students.
