Diana Balint was awarded a Premeier VCE Awards for achieving outstanding results in VET Community Services in 2008. VCE Premier Awards are given to the top 5 performing students in individual subject areas each year. The presentation was held at The Melbourne Convention Centre on Tuesday July 21.

The 19-year-old from Endeavour Hills, who studied her VCE at the school last year, is hoping to pursue a career working with children after starting her Diploma of Children’s Services at Chisholm TAFE in Berwick this year.

Ms Balint was ranked in the top five in the state for community services and received a medallion and certificate last Tuesday from Premier John Brumby at a special event at the Melbourne Convention Centre.

During her community services studies, Ms Balint said she had the opportunity to do work placement at Doveton Uniting Child Care and the Endeavour Hills Child Care Centre.
