The Hallam Senior College Female Sports Academy students have once again done a magnificent job running and coordinating the ‘All Girls’ Auskick centre at Maramba Primary school.
The program has been going for over 5 years has produced plenty of local Youth Girls and introduced many primary aged girls to the skills and fun of playing Australian football.
The Australian Rules Academy girls organise, coach and mentor these Primary school girls through the Auskick program. Not only have we seen a great development in confidence and skills for the participants but we have also seen fantastic development of the Academy students in the areas of coaching, teaching and their own personal development.
It is wonderful to also see female mentoring and leadership within the program structure and to see the passion for which all involved have for our great game.
Special thanks should go to Brett Alexander the head of the Female Austrlaian Rules program at Hallam Senior College and to Camelia Roman the Physical education coordinator at Maramba Primary for the continued support of the program.
Only recently the girls were given the opportunity to represent the NAB Auskick program for the region on the MCG at half time, an experience they will never forget.
